Our staff are specially trained to help you, the tenant, find the right rented property. We maintain a data base of properties to rent, along with the specific needs of prospective tenants and their requirements. So when properties become available, we match you to the right home.

Having found a potentially suitable property for you, we arrange a viewing. The time will suit you and could be weekends or evenings, subject of course to the Landlords permission. All viewings will be accompanied by a member of Chattelle who can give detailed advice and answer any questions you may have.

You want the property, so whats next?

Having decided on a property, you simply complete the Application form, at this time any details or requirements can be provisionally agreed, such as the date of occupancy and duration of letting. A holding deposit to reserve the property will be required at this stage.

Your references

We get references and take credit checks on behalf of the Landlord. If you are unable to meet these checks, you can have a Guarantor to underwrite any liabilities.

Paying your rent

Rents are normally quoted per calendar month. In addition you are liable for Council Tax, Water rates, Gas, Electricity and any Telephone charges. Rents are paid by standing order with the first months rent due before taking occupation of the property.

Paying deposits

A Security deposit is required prior to occupation. This is normally equivalent to one months rent. This is to cover any breakages, damages or other tenant liabilities. If we are managing the property, we hold the deposit in a government approved deposit scheme.
